4 Stars A spectactular case for your PSP
After looking around for a PSP case, I found this one pretty cheaply and picked it up. I have a PSP Lite and I wasn’t sure it would fit and but it works fine and my PSP Lite fits in as snug as a bug in a rug.

It is a hard case with a leather finish which makes it perfect to toss into a bag and not have to worry about your PSP or your screen. It also folds back and works as a holder to watch movies or videos with. The case also works fine to play games with while in the case. I recommend it because of the looks, the safety, and the practicality of it. Quite a bit better and cheaper than some of the other name brand cases.

5 Stars The best of the mediocore
Ok, to kick things off lets start out with the design of the case. The case is a relatively hard case with a stiff (though relatively high quality) leather and a softer, velvety, interior.

Second is how well it fits the psp. This case is quite interesting in the way it houses your prized investment. It allows you to play the psp while it is inside the case via a strong and sturdy METAL (not cheapy the cheapo plastic) clip and holds it very securely. The case closes snugly and holds the the psp very well with no exposed parts of the console. There are however, well placed holes for the use of headphones and a charger. The only problem is opening the case afterwords. For the first few days, as the leather adjusts to your psp, it only opens slightly as it is holding the psp very snug. Simply stick your finger into the case and hold down your psp while opening and its a no braniner opening it. After a few days the is no longer necessary as the case has been opened and closed so many times that it loosens up. Overall, its the 3rd psp case i have had (First the logitech, then a old ds one) and it is by far the best! I highly recommend it!

PSP Face Armor Disk Jackets

PSP Face Armor Disk Jackets

PSP Face armor and disk jackets / Protective flip-top hard shell cover / Acts as glare protector / Matching glossy UMD disk jackets / System polish cloth

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Should Have Been Part of the PSP
Before I purchased the Face Armor, I was debating between it and Logitech’s PlayGear Pocket. I finally settled on the Face Armor because I wanted something that would protect my PSP’s screen without adding too much bulk (the PSP is large enough as it is and adding more bulk would almost make it un-pocketable). The PlayGear Pocket simply added too much bulk.

I was a little wary of the Face Armor because of the reviewers who noted that the Face Armor blocked the PSP’s USB port. In the end, I decided that, for me, the benefit of the slim design outweighed that possible negative.

Upon receiving my Face Armor, I was plased to see that there must have been a redesign of the unit as the USB port was NOT blocked whatsoever. The unit installs with two simple thumb screws and is easy to remove if you so need.

The included disk jackets were not something I particularly cared about when purchasing the Face Armor, but they have come in handy when travelling and not wanting to fill my portable game bag with UMD/PSP cases.

All in all, I highly recommend the Face Armor. This is something that the PSP should have just had built-in from the start to protect that gorgeous screen.

4 Stars Not bad…Awesome customer support
After reading all the reviews I’m wondering if we are talking about the same product. I had mine for about 18 months and took it with me on a deployment to Katrina in NO(that was interesting) Anyway the cover held up good. Slammed it shut and had it in my BDU cargo packet a lot of the time. The hinge did break after a while but I emailed Pelican…they sent one back with several UMD holders no questions asked and paid the postage as well. I really like it because I can access everything while it protects the screen and front. Guess the logitech case is good but I like to switch memory sticks frequently etc so I will still use the pelican. Wish they made the thing in indestructible stainless steel…now that would be awesome.

1 Star DO NOT BUY!!!
If you want a product that will last more then a month, do not buy this. The hinges on this is horrible, and will not last. Mine broke in less then a week… and I did not drop it or anything.

1 Star Cheap & fragile
The mounting hardware is cheap & mostly made out of thin plastic. Mine only lasted a few months before snapping off. I keep my PSP in a PSP bag and I have never dropped it there was no reason this thing should break so easily.

All the Pelican products I have bought have been totally worthless. If you’re looking for a PSP go for the Shark one with the integrated extra battery.

1 Star Terrible. Don’t waste your money.
I LITERALLY had this thing for 5 minutes before the cheap plastic hinge broke. Okay okay. Just a little piece broken. I super glued it back together and tried attaching the thing back on (using the two screws) and what do you know? One of the screws was stripped. Terrible.

December 27th, 2009 PSP Reviews No comments
I just added cfw 5.00 m33-6 and added IR Shell and I deleted the "Set Plugins" folder and now I can only view the TM folder. So now I can't add games or anything like that. What can I do to fix this problem?

Open Question: Are these PSP housings glossy?

December 5th, 2009 PSP Reviews No comments
I want to buy a psp housing to replace mine and if you ever bought 1 from here or have a psp in this color, are they glossy? I'm only interested in the deep red (i think its found in the god of war bundle or imported from asia) and metallic blue (the madden bundle or imported from asia). So can you tell me if either of them glitter when you shine light onto them? http://cgi.ebay.com/PSP-2000-Slim-Full-Case-Cover-Shell-Housing-Faceplate_W0QQitemZ380180040371QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item58847f0ab3
