3 Stars Headset incomplete
I enjoyed the headset but I was disappointed because in the picture, when I look at it, it showed including the remote control to use the microphone

but when I opened it I realized that I had to purchase the remote control which I did. But it cost me more and more time.

The headset works just fine, have a nice design and nice sound. I still think the PSP doesn’t have enough sound power either on their built in speakers or headphones.

1 Star Don’t buy this product unless you have a PSP-2000 w/ remote control
I was excited to get this headset for my new PSP-2000 and get started calling friends overseas with Skype. I plug it in and the sound quality is great but nobody can hear me. Turns out, you have to have the remote control unit to use the microphone. So if you want to use it for skype buy the skype kit. Unfortunately they did not sell the skype kit at the time of purchase and I’m going to be out a few extra bucks buying more headphones I don’t need, just to buy the remote. Since the remote is necessary, I don’t know why Sony even markets this product individually. Lame. Boo, Sony. You take too much of our hard earned cash.

3 Stars not for psp 2001
Sony changed the plug on the PSP with the 2001 series. The original plug is thicker and has three contacts on each side of the rectangular part of the plug (3.5mm headphone jack is standard on both). The new plug is thinner and has more contacts (5 or 6.. I haven’t bought a remote). I too bought a headset for skype but found that it was only for the old PSP.

can anybody tell me a kind of easy way to install a microphone into the psp 2000 which is the Daxter game pack and my psp has CFW (Custom Firm Ware) (5.50 gen-D2) on it and im wonder if there is an easy way to install a microphone on or in it. Ok. Thanks

So here it is. i have two purchases i can make. i dont need a phone at ALL! BUT it could come in handy at certain times so its not utterly useless. its better than none. also, my device WILL BE JAILBROKEN AND UNLOCKED. so rogers bs or anything. ( i live in canada) Iphone 2g 8gb Ipod touch 3g 32g ( 16gb might come in january, probably wont) Now im debating voer which one to get. Iphone 2g 8gb Pros: a phone camera/camcorder ( with cycorder) proper microphone Cons Recessed headphone jack ( might work with my headphones, or i could get a nice apple/ apple functioning pair, not 2 bad) only 8gb ( for me, the 16gb is way too expensive, i will only be using 7gb but the more the better, this sint bad, but is restrictive) now Ipod touch 3g 32gb.16gb Pros: more memory better guts ( better processor, better stuff..) thinner ( does NOT matter at all, but better than nothing) Cons: No camera/camcorder No proper mic ( if i was using skype, i dont want to talk in earbuds, and i do know a little plug in mic, seems handy, but still) not a phone --------------------------------------… so thanks in advance. :) * 1 hour ago * - 4 days left to answer. it is going to be used for MEDIA AND APPS. i have a hacked psp 2000, dedicated for gaming. and i know it does skype, but .. yea)
