NBA Basketball

NBA 2005 for PSP is the first, real, basketball simulation ever created for handheld entertainment systems, providing gamers with all the fast-breaks, precision passing, and above the rim action that fans have come to expect from their sport. Supporting multiple players via a Wireless multiplayer connectivity, NBA 2005 will test the skills of all hoopsters with a variety of gameplay options. During both single and multi-player gameplay, NBA 2005 features the ‘Clutch’ Shooting Mechanism, where a gamers skill and timing along their ability to pull off spin moves, jukes, pump fakes and other special moves will determine if the shot goes in or clanks off the rim. 1 Star Worse game i’ve played on the psp
First off, my biggest complaint about the game is the precision shooting. Why not just press the button once and depending on a few variables (openess, players ability, or distance to the rim) the ball will go in or out. Instead you have to press the shot key twice. Also a turbo key would have been awesome. I don’t think it is too much to ask as I recall the NBA Live games on PS1 had a turbo button. Obviously there are a few rules that the developers lost in translation as you can shoot the ball and have a long rebound travel back to the other side of the court and if you shot the ball you will be called for backcourt. The same goes for blocked shots and swipped balls that are touched by the opponent and travel across the half court line and then recovered by your team. I’m not exactly sure why anyone would by any sport game from this company and this game is no different.
1 Star Terrible game
This is the worst NBA game I have ever played in my life. The gameplay is terrible, the options are terrible, just about everything is. I wasted 30 bucks on this.
2 Stars This game bites
NBA is a very lacking and boring game. It’s really no fun at all because you pretty much just play(it’s way to simple for me). You can’t even take free agents because it doesn’t show any of there stats at all so it’s pretty much a gessing game.The only good things about It is it has pretty good graphics and you can play infrastructure mode. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!
2 Stars Another Rushed PSP Title
Clearly 989, under pressure from Sony, rushed this game to market with little or no QA and testing. A good review of the rules of basketball – particularly the ridiculous back-court violations that occur in this game following blocked shots would have been a good start. Additionally, better play calling capabilities would make the game a bit more intelligent. Its fun and the graphics are good – but the being able to lob the ball the length of the court to Ray Allen who will hit a three everytime isn’t the best mark of game design. Lot’s of silly glitches and errors in this game and no attention to detail – players names aren’t announced, no play-by-play put this game well below the standards set by other sports titles.
3 Stars Could’ve Been Better
I am a huge NBA fan, and I love NBA games… but this truly disappointed me. I think the price is about 5 or 10 dollars too high. Yes, it does have 2 player, and it’s the only game I have ever seen the Skills Challenge from the All-Star Weekend, but it was not very entertaining. For example, you have to have 4 minute quarters in Season Mode, while in a pickup game, you can choose. I really hate that because you only have about say a 35 point game, while all of the other teams get scores around 90 points. So, you don’t get a fair chance at getting into the All-Star Game. (even though I made it) Here are my final ratings.
Gameplay= 7/10
Audio= 8/10
Graphics= 7/10
Controls= 4/10
Features= 6/10
Overall= 7/10

2 Stars madden nfl
I know why this game gets great reviews. This game offers great graphics, the commentary is great, etc. But here is my problem, the game plays itself! If you want to purchase a game, and have little interaction. This is your game. You have hardly any interaction with defense, which is most of you game time. You have hundreds of plays to pick, which have the time do not work. Your selection of what to do is great. EA has spent alot of time making it a “fancy” game, but let the interaction to a minimum.
You kinda sit back and let the game play itself on defense. You have no controls on the level of difficulty. When you play the cpu and on offensive, I hike the ball less that a second I am sacked. I am like, WHAT? The game itself is very frustrating. Every went to an arcade game, you put your quarter in, and a second later, your dead?
Yes, the game has great graphics, great commentary, great playbooks, etc. etc. But if you are just wanting to watch a game, you have purchase the right game. If you want to interact with the game. Purchase something else.
5 Stars Madden NFL 07
I bought this game for my nephew. He loves it.
5 Stars Full featured Madden 07
Apart from the screen size this version is hardly distinguisable from the PS2 port. Almost seemless gameplay and commentary. Keeps me busy for hours taking the Colts back to the Superbowl!
5 Stars Whatever you chose to pay it on
This keeps my boyfriend in place. He will play this for hours on hand. Now it is portable for him.
5 Stars Finally a good game in which your brother or sister cant pull the plug on
Handhelds just hit an all-time high. Madden 06 took forever, and 07 had a lot of bugs. Im a big fan of handhelds because I always had a problem playing with others, and most of the people I play are sore losers. I really had fun with the PSP Madden. Maybe 08 will have less bugs and a super bowl celebration when you win. C’mon EA you really made it seem like winning it all wasn’t a big deal. And how about a more detailed sideline that isnt barren and dirty unis when you play on muddy surface. Other than that it is a very good football fix.
