On the past Monster Hunter games for PSP, you couldn't just connect online. You had to play with a friend. Is it possible to play with someone on wifi in Monster Hunter Tri without much difficulty?

Open Question: What’s the default firmware when you buy a PSP 3000?

March 15th, 2010 PSP Reviews No comments
When you buy a PSP 3000, what is the firmware version it starts out with? I plan to hack my PSP 3000 when I buy one for BACKUP PURPOSES ONLY. No worries I DO NOT intend to do pirating or anything like that. I think I find it more efficient and easier to have like all your games in one place for easy access and to avoid the hassle of bringing so many game discs with you where ever you go. Anyways when you buy it fresh out of the store what's the firmware version it starts out with? I heard that version 6.02 or something is not hackable yet and that the PSP 3000 firmware version can not be downgraded. If it happens to be lower then how would I update it to version 5.03 without letting the PSP update it to the latest version automatically?

1 Star No. Dont do it.
Does not work with psp 2000 or psp slim whatever you want to call it. Does not fit the speaker plug or power plug. Got it for ten bucks new at gamestop. I use it to display my psp.

3 Stars Slightly Logical Logic 3 Sound Grip
I bought this product, like the other reviewer, for some amplification. The grips on the back are a bit of a bonus, and the color blends in very nice with the original PSP motief. The sound is not perfect by any means, as I expected a bit louder by looks alone. It gives a boost, noticably, by maybe 3x, but I still agree there are other louder options on the market. However, for the price and portability it features, I haven’t seen better (which is kind of sad that most of the other companies market the PSP sound devices as a set-and-watch movie player rather than a portable multimedia gaming system). The stand it comes with is very nice as well, but the bag it comes with is a screen abrasive waiting to happen. I scored mine for a cool 15 (Goody had it), but paying more than 20 is too much for what the product offers. Overall, alittle disappointed in sound, but still acceptable for it’s ease of portability.

2 Stars Not loud enough
I like the stand but the volume level is just not loud enough. I would suggest trying another product

4 Stars Good solution for movies and games.
I wanted a good amplification solution for movies which also allowed me to play games with it too, and this is it. Amplification is only 1/2 Watt per channel, but I’ve found it’s enough for both gaming and movies. Since the majority of the PSP’s sound comes out of the bottom speaker holes (not the front) it’s nice to use while gaming for the grip feature and to have the sound ports facing you (not necessarily because you need to crank it up on games). The stand is great for movies, of course, and there are ports in the back for headphones and power. The device comes with and uses 2 AAA batteries (unless you connect the PSP adaptor, then no batteries are required.

The only little complaint is the power light is a little bright (it’s right under the screen), but not too big of a complaint.

5 Stars the sound is sweet
i was looking for portable sound for the psp logic sound grip speakers do the job.most speakers are cumbersom and bulky and simply will not allow you to play the game because you cant reach the controls. this system works’. its great you can grip the game and hear well. its not surrond sound but it works nicely. its affordable and apleasure to use you wont regret it. christian nielsen ridge ny

4 Stars BEST BUY for PSP
Works great. the sound is good anve I like the way it slides to open for the PSP. Great purchase for the PSP lover

5 Stars They Do their job and don’t take up too much space so what’s the problem?
The only con I could find is when the charger is in it makes a quiet funny noise, but most speakers don’t have chargers anyway so just don’t use the speakers while the psp is charging. Other than that, they are a cool design, allowing easy access to the UMD slot, power switch, volume buttons, and memory card slot. My other pair of speakers (see my other reviews), broke after three days. This pair hasn’t yet in over a week.
