Lego Harry Potter: 140 characters, 20 spells, infinite fun

April 2nd, 2010 PSP Reviews No comments
You can tell someone cares about their games when they get excited about a small detail. "Check this out," Jonathan Smith, the head of production at TT Games, said, showing off one of the 140 playable characters in Lego Harry Potter . It was a dog, and his ears moved up and down when he jumped. Smith was inordinately proud of the detail, and showed some more of the character's very dog-like ...

Crisp sounding speakers

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Good especially for kids/tweeners.
I bought this for my 12 year old son to use with his PSP and he really likes it. He stated that it’s not TOO loud even with the volume full blast. That’s a good thing since we don’t want to have hearing lost in middle age!

5 Stars poor psp ear buds
The ear buds do not work properly you have to put the volume in the middle so you can hear anything.

4 Stars The sound of music
The sound quality is pretty good. I was disappointed that the earphones didn’t fit in my mp3 player… The disadvantage is that they don’t stay comfortably in your ears.

2 Stars Sounds kind of tinny
The sound quality is pretty thin and tinny on these, but not bad for the price, I guess.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Not the best, but a very affordable set of in-ear earphones
I’ve bought this pair of earphones last year and loved them. It was the first real pair of in-ear earphones I’ve ever owned and since then, have been sold on the technology ever since.

Pros:

-Sound was pretty clear; Good lows, mid-range, and highs and very balanced Treble and Bass.

-Bass wasn’t too noticeable on PSP but bass was very deep when connected to an iPod. It always sounded clear, even with bass.

-Treble was very good, considering they’re pretty cheap. They almost sound like higher end earphones

Cons:

-For me, the fit was never perfect. Sometimes, when I have it in my ear, it would fall out. It took a while for me to get the fit right and even then, the earphones would fall out.

-Again, fit was not good. Even when I had finally managed to get the earphones in my ear, I couldn’t have them in my ears for very long. So in short: when wearing these earphones, use in moderation.

-Another problem was with the earbuds themselves. I’ve found that they had a tendency to fall off the little “flange” on the earphones themselves. It is an easy fix with a small amount, and I mean “small amount”, Rubber Cement, allowed to dry on the phones (Note: Do not attach ‘buds to ‘phones while cement is drying and be careful not to get the cement in the phones themselves as this will greatly reduce sound quality)

So, even though these earphones are reasonable, they’re not easy to find. For some strange reason, they (game stores) have since discontinued this fine product. Would I buy these earphones again? I wouldn’t have to buy any type of in-ear earphones if only a rat didn’t chew up my damn Stealths!

2 Stars Mediocre!
These earbuds make me feel like I’m listening to music – underwater. This feature would be nice if my songs were meant to sound like someone’s drowning me, but a large majority of them are meant to be heard above the surface. These headphones always make me believe I have a few too many ounces of earwax too, because my inner ear gets suddenly warm, and gooey.

They’re not that great.

4 Stars Logitech stealth earphones
These are great in ear earphones. I used the large gels to get a good fit and seal which is important for the earphones to produce proper sound. The earphones are very comfortable. The sound is much better than my Sennheiser CX300 in ear monitors. They produce abundant, clear, unexaggerated, bass . The high end and midrange are quite good. The sound is not as compressed as with other earphones. The earphones seem to be well made but the cord is a little short. You could spend triple the amound and not get as nice earphones.

They are a great bargain.

4 Stars OK
They are nice, but only for use with a PSP, if you use it with anything else you get alot if static. Also, they keep the noise out very nicely which is perfect for plane rides, ECT. Overall, i recommend these for frequent plane travlers, if you are going to use them like regular earbuds, they aren’t that good…

UPDATE: DO NOT GET THESE! nevermind the OK sound only on PSP, THEY GET STUCK IN YOUR EAR! This happened to me because the removable end caps, when I tried to take out the bud, the thing did but the rubber prt stayed in, I was about 3 seconds away from going to the hospital but I got it out with some tweezers and ALOT of pain. WARNING!! DO NOT GET THESE! Logitech is lucky I didn’t go to the hospital otherwise I would have sued them!

2 Stars Good fit, bad sound
The fit of these phones is fine, but the sound is below par. I should preface that I’m using them with an IPod instead of a PSP but I thought anything logitech made had to be gold. I guess I shouldn’t complain about $12 headphones, you get what you pay for.

Open Question: My brother just found my porn… help?

January 7th, 2010 PSP Reviews No comments
So I put porn in my PSP about 1 week ago I found my ol' Memory Stick Pro Dou adapter. Since my brother has his iPod Touch and he hasn't touched the PSP ever since he got it, I figured I can put porn on it and just hide the PSP in my room. So a couple of minutes ago, my brother comes to the living room and tells me, hey where are all of the PSP stuff (he's referring to games) I want to play it. In my mind I say "oh shit". Then I say, hold on a minute, I'll go get the PSP for you (my intention was to go to my room grab the PSP and swap out the 4GB with porn on it to our 1GB card we use for our camera). That's when he says, with a smirk on his face, I have the PSP here I just want to play some games. At that moment, I have the deer-in-the-headlights face. My ears are hot and I just know he saw it all. I had a couple of Julia Bond videos, 1GB of pictures, and much more. I'm not open to my brother at all with masturbating, porn, not even girls. So I tell him, gimme the PSP, I'll go find the games for you. I grab the PSP from him and go to my room. I switch it on and find that it is on the System Settings tab on the XMB. If I remember correctly, the last time I used it, I left it on a video. I knew that my brother saw it and right now, I'm on the computer and he's in the 2nd living room. Everytime he talks to me, I see him trying to hold in a laughter. I know he saw it and I think he isn't saying anything because he knows I'll get embarrassed. Btw, brother is 17, I'm 15. Is there a way to confront this?

Open Question: how do i take control of my 11 yr old sons bad behavior?

December 11th, 2009 PSP Reviews No comments
i've been raising my stepson since he's been 3months old. biological mother has not been in the picture since then she lives in another state. he was diagnosed w/ ADHD at 4 and has been on meds since then. Before that he was repeatedly kicked out daycare and even pre-k. he had to be sent to a special needs school. but when he was put on meds at 4 he was allowed in regular classes. He is 11 now, i am so so tired. It is a battle w/ him everyday. Yes he is still on meds but they change atleast once a yr cause he gets immune to them and they dont work on him. He sneaks junk food & brothers psp game in the middle of the night while everyone is asleep. he has stolen items from his school, he has said some nasty stuff to girls at school, constantly getting write up. At home he fusses for anything i tell him to do, he's rude, raises his voice, covers his ears when we speak to him, hums when i talk to him its just way out of control. His father does spank him, he is allowed to get swats at school w/ our permission, everything gets taken away from him, he gets grounded but its no big deal to him anymore. Its a loosing battle. we have 3 other children and its hard on them to. he fights with them, takes their things, argues w/ everyone. No one wants him around, he cant spend the night w/grandma or cousins, cant work well in groups, never invited over to friends or party's. His Nana (spouse's mother) spoils him and lets him do whatever. she baby him and says "oh its not his fault" HELLO!!! he's 11 yrs old now, he knows right from wrong already. But i'm stressed and i know my husband is also. I am so ready to give up. Thats how bad it gets. I dont want to. I can have some serious talks with my son, one on one, and i think, ok he's listening maybe this time he'll take me serious. heck no! so any advice will greatly be appreciated. thanks
