Resolved Question: Should I get a PS3? (Read Description!)…?

Well, a while back, I invested in calves and now I have a decent some of money from that. I have a PSP and my brother has 2 Xbox 360s (he moved out, so he has the one that is working and left the one that won't turn on at my house). I tried several times to contact Microsoft to fix the Xbox, but they just won't help me in any way and I am fed up of trying. I have thought about getting a PS3 because there are some games available for that (like MGS4 and Little Big Planet) that I can't get on Xbox. HOWEVER, there are a few problems. There are few PS3 exclusives that I actually want. Also, I really want to get a Blu Ray player, but the Blu Ray discs are VERY expensive (twice the price of a DVD). Can I play a DVD in a PS3? Thank you in advance. (Also, no fanboy answers. I don't care if you don't like Xbox 360s or PS3, I'd like some good advice).
