5 Stars Good Hack-n-Slash Fun
First off I want to say that I bought this from the Playstation store, it’s NOT the UMD version. Hoping Amazon will offer PSN Downloads soon, at better prices than Sony’s store. ;)

Any way like the other reviewers have said it’s pretty much a Diablo’ish Hack and Slasher, with multiplayer (untested yet). This is not a deep RPG or anything just simple mindless fun. The graphics are decent, the sounds are pretty good too. There are a few minor slowdowns as it cache’s new data in, I’m guessing this might be worse on the UMD version. There’s plenty of loot, socketed items, shape shifting, plenty of monster types, and just from my early guess should last a good 20 hours or more to complete the campaign.

4 Stars Nice
Good game, but honestly got boring after I beat it.

The online gameplay was cool though. Chatted and played with a lot of people and it was more fun than single player.

2 Stars Mindless
I’m not a very serious gamer, having not played many video games since the NES (until I recently got a Wii and a PSP). So, understand that I am far from an expert hand at video games. Yet, even as a casual gamer, I can say that Untold Legends: The Warrior’s Code is mind-numbingly easy, and, consequently, boring. I bought this game about a week ago and played it for a few days. After the first hour or so the controls, the game play, and unfortunately the limited scope of the game were readily apparent to me. After that, I only absentmindedly played the game a few times while watching movies (and I still triumphed over the dark forces threatening generic Fantasy Town).

Essentially, the game play consists of 1) walking around, rather randomly, 2) equipping your generic hero with weapons, etc., 3) Pressing X in almost any combat situation to easily win, and 3) occasionally pressing a shoulder button to take a potion. The largest problem is that there is hardly any challenge to the game play (no difficult villains, no puzzles, etc.). And, what’s worse is that this easy game play takes place in a repetitive, generic environment (in the dungeons and woods, though the graphics are pretty, there is next to no variety – just treasure, monsters, items, and portals).

I suppose the game has value as a fairly mindless hack and slash (actually, given the simplicity of the game play, maybe just one of the two actions would be more appropriate). However, it is very easy and very repetitive. Fortunately, you can find it cheap.

I liked this game. Brotherhood of the blade is my most favorite game of all, so switching over to this one was a little harder. The controls are different from Brotherhood of the blade so sometimes I get a little lost. I got stuck at the last of the four bosses in the temple (if you haven’t played it yet you’ll know what I mean when you get there). There aren’t ANY walkthroughs that I can find, so I can’t really play the game now.

The cool thing is the transformation that the characters do. It doesn’t seem to make much of a difference when you’re fighting, but it’s cool anyway. I would definitely recommend this game if you liked the first one.

4 Stars Fun Mostly
The second installment of Untold Legends has made some improvements with game play and certainly with the graphics. The story is very linear, you must clear one area to get to the next. The monsters are interesting, but the longer you play and start leveling up, the are actually quite easy. Even the bosses are pretty easy to take out. Hack and slash and use a health potion or two and that does the job most of the time. There are no puzzles to solve, just basically dungeon crawling, find an exit or a boss and then go on to the next thing that opens for you. Though it doesn’t sound all that great, it is actually quite addicting and the story is interesting enough that you want to see what happens. Fans of Diablo should find this game to their liking.

5 Stars My son loves this game!
I bought this game for my 7 year old son and he won’t put it down. He has enjoyed this game more than any of the other psp games we have bought.

5 Stars Great PSP game that is fun for all ages!
I purchased this game off of Amazon because I love that they offer free shipping and I couldn’t find a better deal anywhere else. It arrived extremely quickly and was a definite hit for my husband. It was a Christmas present for him, and he played it so much over the holiday that I wondered if I should have really give it to him as I didn’t see much of him:) He didn’t report any problems with glitches. He loved that there are many playable characters. He also loved that you could play the game from the perspective of the villains. He was impressed with the different character suits that could be worn in different stages. This game was a hit and is very well done! Definitely recommended!!!
