PSP Screen Armor

Protect the most important part of the PSP with the stylish, easy-to-use Screen Armor from Nyko. The Screen Armor is a detachable brushed aluminum screen protector that attaches to the face of the PSP using two lockingclips. The foldable clips allow for an easy, secure fit while providing convenient storage while not in use. The Screen Armor’s design also leaves the action buttons, the d-pad and headphone jack free so you can take advantage of the PSP’s MP3 playback abilities while still protecting the screen. The rubberizes underside of the screen armor helps protect your PSP from scratches, dust, dirt and fingerprints as well as providing slip free protection for the PSP’s 4.3 inch display. The design of the Screen Armor compliments the PSP and is sure to turn heads.

5 Stars Good Value!!
The PSP Screen Armor is a great tool to use to protect your game system and give it longevity. I recommend purchasing one if you own a PSP to help protect your investment.

5 Stars PSP Screen Armor
This is a “must have” for those who wish to keep their PSP in “like new” condition.

4 Stars Good Protection, But Not The Best
I have been using this for about 3 weeks. It’s a sturdy little thing and does what it says it does. It’s very sturdy and hugs the PSP for dear life. Good protection for the screen. But I would’ve liked it more if it was in different colors, like black for example.

2 Stars An OK product at best
Nyko is a good company. However, their screen protector for the PSP actually SCRATCHED the screen of my $250 PSP. Buy the Hori Screen protector instead for $5 at an EB games or a Gamestop.

Open Question: What’s a better game for PSP?

March 5th, 2010 PSP Reviews No comments
God of War: Chains of Olympus or Dante's Inferno ----- I want a game that has variety in it, such as selective weapons, or maybe armor change. I also want a storyline with it, and different game modes possibly, not just running around killing random things until the game's finished. Last request is, the game has to be fully three dimensional and have the ability to jump. If neither of those games can jump then, ignore what I just said.

Trailers just try to make the game look epic. The actual game might suck.

5 Stars Should Have Been Part of the PSP
Before I purchased the Face Armor, I was debating between it and Logitech’s PlayGear Pocket. I finally settled on the Face Armor because I wanted something that would protect my PSP’s screen without adding too much bulk (the PSP is large enough as it is and adding more bulk would almost make it un-pocketable). The PlayGear Pocket simply added too much bulk.

I was a little wary of the Face Armor because of the reviewers who noted that the Face Armor blocked the PSP’s USB port. In the end, I decided that, for me, the benefit of the slim design outweighed that possible negative.

Upon receiving my Face Armor, I was plased to see that there must have been a redesign of the unit as the USB port was NOT blocked whatsoever. The unit installs with two simple thumb screws and is easy to remove if you so need.

The included disk jackets were not something I particularly cared about when purchasing the Face Armor, but they have come in handy when travelling and not wanting to fill my portable game bag with UMD/PSP cases.

All in all, I highly recommend the Face Armor. This is something that the PSP should have just had built-in from the start to protect that gorgeous screen.

4 Stars Not bad…Awesome customer support
After reading all the reviews I’m wondering if we are talking about the same product. I had mine for about 18 months and took it with me on a deployment to Katrina in NO(that was interesting) Anyway the cover held up good. Slammed it shut and had it in my BDU cargo packet a lot of the time. The hinge did break after a while but I emailed Pelican…they sent one back with several UMD holders no questions asked and paid the postage as well. I really like it because I can access everything while it protects the screen and front. Guess the logitech case is good but I like to switch memory sticks frequently etc so I will still use the pelican. Wish they made the thing in indestructible stainless steel…now that would be awesome.

1 Star DO NOT BUY!!!
If you want a product that will last more then a month, do not buy this. The hinges on this is horrible, and will not last. Mine broke in less then a week… and I did not drop it or anything.

1 Star Cheap & fragile
The mounting hardware is cheap & mostly made out of thin plastic. Mine only lasted a few months before snapping off. I keep my PSP in a PSP bag and I have never dropped it there was no reason this thing should break so easily.

All the Pelican products I have bought have been totally worthless. If you’re looking for a PSP go for the Shark one with the integrated extra battery.

1 Star Terrible. Don’t waste your money.
I LITERALLY had this thing for 5 minutes before the cheap plastic hinge broke. Okay okay. Just a little piece broken. I super glued it back together and tried attaching the thing back on (using the two screws) and what do you know? One of the screws was stripped. Terrible.

5 Stars It does what it says.
All I can say is that it does what it says. It’s big, bulky, but hey it protects your PSP(I have a 3000) and can also hold 4 UMDs or 2 UMDs and a memory card or whatever. I has some extra space (presumably so it can hold a fat(1000 series)) so it may be bothersome just having your PSP in there and having it clunk around but it’s all right. I only wish it had a little handle so it would look like a miny briefcase.

5 Stars Good item!
It is a good product. It can hold UMD’s as described by the product features. My PSP 3000 isn’t really put tightly in place as described by the product features. It can still move a little bit but overall it’s still good for protection in case of a drop.

3 Stars Case okay…
This alluminium case is good protection, but it is bulky & there is no place to store additional games/movies like the softer cases. Those are my only complaints

4 Stars not a good looking, But!
Not a good looking, but the only purpose why I bought this item, is the protection I can get for the PSP. This product has a solid aluminum case outside to protect the PSP in case of a drop, and inside is a well faded foam that securely fit the console. Actually I bought 2 PSP and 2 Aluminum protector case. It does make sense to me because I am going to send this to my kids in the Philippines, and knowingly I am sure that this Aluminum protector case will somewhat protect the console. So why go for the attractive case if it will not serve it’s purpose?

5 Stars The pefect PSP case, especially for traveling
It would take ALOT to even dent this case, let alone have your PSP inside be cracked or crushed. It’s like a miniature vault. If the outside Fort Knox casing wasn’t enough, the inside is as well padded as it gets. There is room inside to store a PSP slim, a handful of UMD’s, and an extra battery and cover. It’s tight fit with all this stuff in there, but it fits.

Like my title says, this is perfect if you’re traveling or just on the go alot. I’m so glad I bought this case.
