2 Stars Not much to this game
This is basically an Unreal Tournament clone with tanks. No single player experience to speak of. A waste of money.
4 Stars Solid vehicle combat with only minor issues
Out of nowhere this game comes out for the PSP. My store couldn’t keep a copy of the game in stock and I had to actually search my area for two copies. This raises the question… Is this game really that great? For the most part – I’ll tell you why.
The game is only $30 at release which is understandable because it’s strictly a vs. game with no story. Battlezone gets right to the point, dropping you and other hover tanks into arenas for some frantic action. There are other modes of play but they all lead to the same vs. arenas. You can go for single player matches, single player tournaments, or ad-hoc (you and some friends in a room, no internet multi player) multi player. You get basically every game type you’ve been used to such as death match, capture the flag, etc. The single player tournament mode is where you go to unlock all of the extra upgrades called tweaks for your tanks. This mode also unlocks new tanks, tank weight classes, arenas, and primary weapons. Let me also mention that each country has a different tank and special weapon which is a good reason to try each of the different country’s tank. The computer can be relentless at times, putting up a pretty good fight. So, don’t expect to unlock everything the game has to offer in a single sitting.
The control is pretty tight after you get used to how the different weight classes move around. Levels are laid out with weapons and environmental effects to use which aid in your quest to take out your foes. (Also there is an online “level editor” which lets you only edit the location of these pickups and environmental effects. They can be saved to the PSP memory card for use in multi player) The tanks hover well over the terrain and with the use of L and R buttons for strafe, control and aim are made easier. The game locks on to the closest tank for weapon fire, indicated by a red circle showing a lock. Moving around will take a little practice but the game has a short learning curve making it pick up and play friendly to just about anyone.
Graphically the game boasts photo realistic backgrounds and some cool effects. Of course this is back of the box material that when actually playing isn’t quite the case. The arenas themselves are detailed enough but not distractingly so to where you’ll stare off at the sky and think “wow, that’s photorealistic!” while getting the ever-living blown out of your tank. Simply put, the graphics are somewhat simple but they get the job done. Weapon effects are nice but again still somewhat generic. I’m actually a fan of the menu interface they give you where you scroll sideways through your choices. Every weapon is represented with an icon/description and each tank has multiple camo schemes which are just different paint jobs to choose from.
So overall the game sounds cool right? Honestly, it is in short bursts. It’s not a bad way to kill a few minutes but the action will wear quickly after about 20 minutes of play because of its repetitive nature. If you were a fan of the previous installments of the Battlezone games, or any vehicle based combat game I highly recommend looking into this title. For the casual gamer though, this is a short game with not much to offer except the arena battles. Based on this information, I hope you can make a wise purchase choice this holiday season.

Eragon

Eragon is an epic fantasy-adventure centering on a young farm boy named Eragon. Based on the best-selling novel and feature film, the boy’s destiny is revealed with the help of a dragon. Offering a completely different gaming experience from the console game, Eragon and Saphira take flight in this aerial combat game, featuring four person multiplayer in seven different arenas with 12 unlockable arena game types for PSP gamers. An extensive single player story mode allows gamers to experience the epic Eragon saga from the dragon’s perspective.

Takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it…it is awesome fun! Especially if you loved the movie!
5 Stars Very Good
Awesome grafics. Hard on two levels. EASY,FUN,QUICK,Just like the movie!A bit like the book. Exellent gameplay best for psp and ds do not get it for xbox xbox 360 ps2 ps3.Good for first time game.
4 Stars sorta okay
At first, I got all excited because eragon has always been one of my favourite books. I bought the game and was quite impressed, at first, it was very difficult but then I was hooked! I was still very dissappointed though, because for the whole game, you were Saphira and could not swordfight like Eragon with Brom.
5 Stars better than expected
usally when you buy a game of a movie it is pretty boring and is quick to finish. In eragon there are probably over 20 mini-games all of them are good fun. I wosay the grapics are ok but not the best, but gameplay is awsome and there is loads to do.

4 Stars a different approach
marvel nemesis has gotten a lot of bad reviews which it really doesnt deserve. the audience just wanted a marvel soulcalibur and what they got was a marvel powerstone. but powerstone was great game too. so i dont see a problem. but the psp version of marvel nemesis was different it was a one on one action game that centered more on using special abilities and powers than just standard attacks. this game is pretty good, its not great but it is worth a shot. i give it a C+
5 Stars Greta game
I like the PSP version better than console becasue even though the storyline is left out it’s only annoying anyhow and the PSP has more heroes and villens to select from. I would rather more characters and levels than a storyline that consists of runnning around and beating up robots intill you fight a villan/hero. The only flaw is only being able to select 2 characters at the start, but again lots more to unlock.
PSP version is better.
1 Star Imperfect!
The Good: play (if you don’t get bored with it first) with all your favorite marvel super heroes.
The Bad: Repetitive arenas (there are only 5)
Choose a Marvel heroe, and you’ll fight all the Imperfects, same order, same arena, same thing.
Choose an Imperfect, and you’ll fight all the Marvel heroes, same order, same arena, same thing.
Card system that God knows what it does, and you can’t even really choose your cards.
Repetitive turns to boredom.
Don’t buy it trust me!
4 Stars Marvel Game review
This game really wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be. I had fun though. The game quality was what I expected, which is a good thing, and overall this is a great game to lose track of time with.
4 Stars A game made for the console.
I have to partially agree with many other viewers about this game. Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects was made for the consoles. Xbox and PS2 versions are much better with actual cenimatic effects.
However, if you don’t want the console version, and love fighting with other imperfect superheros, I believe this game is for you. The PSP version is beautiful for the handheld. Warning, there are no cenimatic effects, yet, there are a few more unlockable characters available in the PSP version. The fighting system gets easier once you understand the character you are playing, however the character has (of course) a limited amount of energy they can use to ignite their power… Which can be frustrating at times.
In the end I still believe this game is better on console, yet it does just fine on the handheld. If you love your PSP this game is for you, if you love marvel and beating the crud from other good-guys/bad, this is ALSO for you. Definately a fun game when you can kick Wolverine’s ass in public! Happy gaming!
