Open Question: psp gaming chair that flattens into mat?

April 26th, 2010 PSP Reviews No comments
it's hard to explain but one of my friends bought his psp and as an added bonus he got a cheap gamers chair with it that can be flattened down into a mat. you can fold the end of the mat upwards to form the back of the chair and it locks into place so it doesn't collapse when you sit on it...anyone know what these are called/where to buy them IN AUSTRALIA

Atari Classics Evolved

As we live in a world where video games look as real as live television, who would have thought that it all originated from Pong? Classic games like Pong, Centipede, and Asteroids began a video gaming revolution. Atari, the video game pioneer, is bringing back these and 8 other 2-dimensional classic games, giving it an updated look for the 21st Century and introducing a new way to play them – and no need to dust off your Atari 2600! These classic games are now available for you to take everywhere you go on the PSP system. Whether you’re looking for that classic, retro experience, or you’re looking for new-age graphics, each game will be playable in both classic and evolved forms to satisfy your itch. As an added bonus, you’ll be able to unlock over 50 Atari 2600 titles giving you non-stop gaming action.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Poor port
Not good. The Midway one is the only classic arcade emulation on the PSP that is worth a damn so far.

3 Stars Difficult to Control
This has a nice concept but playing it on the PSP is very difficult, the faster games especially are very hard to control. Still has fun games just harder to control.

1 Star The classics should have been unlocked from the start
I bought this game to play the 2600 classics. That’s really the only reason I bought it. I think their reskins of the classics are bad. To make matters worse, they make you play them in ridiculous amounts to unlock the 2600 classic games, which is probably why everyone is buying this to begin with. I had to go through the dicey process of downloading the one and only save game where someone had gone through the nightmare of unlocking the 2600 games. So if you buy this, go to GameFaqs and download the save game where someone did all the tedious work for you.

3 Stars Not a classic feel
I was excited to get this game. I loved playing these games at the pizza parlor or bus station many years ago. But, what I found out is while the games are the same the feel isn’t. For example, Centipede, Millipede, Breakout and Tempest are all great games but to play them on my PSP you have to turn the PSP 90 degrees and play from one end. From a screen standpoint it makes sense to use the longest part of the PSP screen to mimic the original games. But, what I found is that it’s very difficult to play fast games like this from one end of the PSP; the controls are too cumbersome and it’s difficult to balance the weight of the PSP. Lunar Lander, Battlezone and Asteroids are still fun.

5 Stars 80s flashback
For those people who grew up with the classic Atari games of Asteroids and Centipede, this one has it all and then some. There are also updated versions of the classic games, but I personally think nothing really beats the simple game versions of those days gone by.

PSP Go! Games: PSP Go Includes Voucher fro Rock Band Unplugged??

August 12th, 2009 PSP Reviews No comments
Turns out the PSP Go will be bundled with a Rock Band Unplugged demo and not the full rockin' game. Silly us. But if it were true, that would be an awesome added bonus for us PSP and Rock Band fans. Posted by pspgo at 11:09 AM ...

Logic 3 PSP Solar Charger 2176044

Recharge your PSP, GBA or Nintendo DS using the power of the sun!

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Doesn’t really work
Have tried this thing several times, didn’t seem to put out enough power to even maintain my battery level on my psp let alone really charge it. Great idea, just doesn’t work that well, takes way too long even in direct sunlight to fully charge a psp.

1 Star psp dosen’t read it
this thing dosen’t work. even when it is fully charged the psp won’t even recognze it so it won’t charge AT ALL.do not waste your money on this product.

1 Star Flimsy
The case broke coming out of the package! Not well put together. I’m afraid it won’t hold up on the road, and that pretty much defeats the purpose.

4 Stars Nifty little gadget puts you ahead of the game!
We purchased this device because it seems the battery often dies when you’re nowhere near a wall to charge it, and carrying a spare battery doesn’t always help, so this was a great idea! As an added bonus the solar charger can also charge the Game Boy Advanced (at the same time!!). We were highly amused that the solar charger is basically the shell of a GBA with solar panels where the screen and controls would be. That means it fits in a standard game carry case. It’s also a fantastic idea for military members headed downrange where there’s plenty of sun but not always plenty of electrical outlets. Very economical, eco-friendly, and convenient.

5 Stars The perfect action-fighting game for the best price
If you love combos, air juggling, super moves, sci-fi fancy moves, great music and of course capcom gaming style; this game is designed for you no doubt, if you loved to play this one on the dreamcast, now take it anyware you go for limitless fun!!!!!!!

4 Stars A Collection that is rare.
After I found out that power stone was remade for the psp. I had to have that game because this is one of the greatest games from the 90s to have on a portable machine. I give it 5 stars for gameplay because its easy to get addicted to it. Not many classic capcom games are remade for the psp and fortunately this one is. I forgot how the cool items in the game makes it more funny for the players. Overall, I give it four stars because the graphics doesn’t match up to the dreamcast port of powerstone. The music, fun factor, controls, and gameplay are a plus. I would recommend this game to any capcom fan today, and hopefully another classic game like this can be remade for the psp.

5 Stars 2 great Power Stone gmes on one PSP Disc!!! Wow!!!
This a great collection of two great 3 D fighter games(they are truly unique!),these games won a fan base with a now defunct game system, but now there back and portable on the PSP,with a few nice tweaks here and there!!! Great job from the folks at Capcom, they DO make some great fun games!!! Recommended for fans of the series,or people who like a good fighting game!!! A+

5 Stars A Classic Brought back…
I got this game because I heard a lot about it and never got the chance to play the original Dreamcast version. And ever since then I wanted to try out the game. Well, along came the deal on here where I paid 10 bucks for it. I thought, why not? It’ll be fun, right? And fun it was. You never know the joy of being in a small room with another person throwing things and fighting all along until you play this game. Definitely a great game to unwind with.
