4 Stars Cool game
The game is pretty cool. It’s fun to play if you like racing games. Got a real good deal on it.

5 Stars ANOTHER GREAT REASON TO OWN A PSP
I have CRISIS CORE, CHAINS OF OLYMPUS, FORCE UNLEASHED, and now WIPEOUT PURE.

I really didn’t think much why I wanted a PSP over the Nintendo DS. After getting WIPEOUT PURE, my reason for owning the PSP is justified.

If you like racing with a kick and more than just average racing WIPEOUT PURE is your answer. And do not forget the awesome soundtrack. The music by itself keeps me playing it.

Even after playing CHAINS OF OLYMPUS, it still amazes me that WIPEOUT PURE is this good.

2 Stars No Fun
This game is no fun because of everything in it!The races are boring, the music is weird, and you do the same thing in every race…No creativity in it. I recommend you get a different racing game like Need for Speed(any of them are good) or Burnout(any of them also). Those are some excellent racing games. ;)

5 Stars Almost perfect! 9.5/10
I’ve played a couple of the previous versions of WipeOut and have always been impressed by this series, but the latest version for PSP is exceptional!

The handling of the car is terrific; you can use the D-pad or analog stick for subtle taps, and the shoulder triggers work airbrakes for harder, tighter steering.

The graphics look beautiful, almost jewel-like, and the selection of music works well with this face-paced game.

You know a racing game is great when you find yourself leaning your body left and right as you swoop through the curves.

The only caveat I’ve found is that apparently there are online downloads (extra courses, cars, etc.) available at the developer’s web-site, but when I try on numerous occasions to download it times out. I suspect it’s because the downloads are only available to certain countries, and my country is not one.

All in all, I rate WipeOut Pure a 9.5 out of 10. Fantastic!

5 Stars pure fun!
This game is great. Awesome graphics, sound, gameplay, and controls. Great options for customizing your race profile and keeping track of all your times on different tracks. Perfect for a handheld like the PSP.

2 Stars Let down for thos that like free roam
This is a pretty good game. I was big on the freeroam. Not into the track racing. This game does not support it. You can’t go tooling around off the tracks to just shred and do jumps anywhere in the worlds. Even in freeroam mode, if you venture off the track you get the 3 second warning.

Other than that, it’s your standard ATV Off Road Fury game.

5 Stars One of the better PSP games
Let’s face it, the PSP doesn’t have a lot of great games. Fortunately, this is one of them. Graphics are good. Unlike a lot of racing games for PSP, it’s easy to see what’s going on. Controls are easy to master. Hard to put this game down.

5 Stars Great Gift for me
Ok, let me say that I did not think this would be much of a game. I travel by train a lot and needed a game to kinda keep me busy. Took it with me and almost missed my stop. You can not beat this game for under $[...]. You cant! Music is cool, controls are good, graphics are good. I say four stars but price makes it 5 stars. Dont like the other ATV games much, they are decent but this one is a real nice buy. If you dont have any racing games, give this one a try.

5 Stars great game
I find this game really fun, can’t seem to put it down. highly recommeded. rhe grafics are great and the musiv is awsome. the veriety of vehicles make this game even better. a must buy

5 Stars ATV Offroad Fury Pro
Its a pretty fun game. It has unbelievable graphics and an amazing variety of vehicles. Such as a buggy, truck, snowmobile, ATV, MX, and much more. There is online play and an online chatting feature for fans that like to chat. The online features have much more than ATV Offroad Fury Blazin’ Trails. The compitition is way easier than the last one. And this time you get points after the race. Like a sponser bonus, stunt point bonus, and a ranking bonus. I would strongly suggest this game for racing fans. Overall its a really fun game and my rating is 5 stars:)

5 Stars Great game with great replay value
A friend of mine had this game on PSP and it is what got me to buy the system in the first place. I have never played any other incarnations of this game so this PSP version was fresh for me. The graphics are great and very detailed. The challenge of the game progresses as you get to be a better player. That’s what keeps players like myself coming back to the game. You advance through novice courses into expert courses and on to one on one challenges with rival drivers/cars. There may only be 24 tracks to race but the mix of the six different classes of cars gives you the chance to try new things on each of the courses.

The only drawback I have noticed on this game is that the reward system is cheesy and not very well designed. After completing ALL of the basic and expert races you are rewarded with “The End Credits!” Woohoo! The other awards are just as lame with design drawings and earlier generation game credits as awards.

I’ve started the whole game over several times and always get a kick out of advancing in the courses. I’ve enjoyed this game and would encourage others to give it a shot.

5 Stars Excellent racing title
One of the best racers to date for the PSP. A lot of fun and a lot of tracks. Use 1st person view, it’s much better.

5 Stars GET IT.
This is poetry and love stories in motion. When ever I am drifting around corners in this game while listening to the music, I feel like I am dancing with a car moving at 200 mph.

If you are looking for a reason to own a PSP, Ridge Racer is enough reason. It definitely shows the world that the PSP is going to challenge the Nintendo DS for the #1 spot…..I personally believe it will dominate.

5 Stars Very good racing arcade
I start by saying that even though I love racing games, I pretty much s*ck at them. That doesn’t stop me from trying many racing games from the hard core Grand Turismo titles, to more accessible Need for Speed. I dont know why I have not tried any Ridge Racer title before. I guess I was put off by most people saying that it is not very accurate driving.

Well, I tried this title now that is price is low and found it a hoot. I loved the sense of speed I get from the game. it is very easy to get started, but it does get harder as you go.

It is not a racing sim, even though, you are driving a car, the physics is very loose. You will enter drift very easy. I guess the mechanics is there for you to hone in you timing and control manuevers to achieve maximum speed. One minor flaw of this is that when you dont pull the drift right, you car never flips around 180 degrees. Another thing is that you can hit the wall and bounce off it with little penalty. This breaks the realism until you accept, again, that this is not a racing sim but an arcade racing game.

The graphics are very good looking for a first generation psp game. You will see some jaggies, which I’ve read is the usual problems of RR series games. But they are not distracting since you are moving very fast. The music is ok, not my cup of tea.

The only thing that could improve the game would be the ability to customize your ride like others games do. But in this case, you win races to unlock cars that are faster than the one you got right now. Oh yeah, you wont see any brand name of cars that you would recognize, no mazdas, nissans, etc. Instead you will get some made up over top brand names. So you car will resemble some mutation of a ferrari, viper, etc. Nothing you will recognize. and yet, the cars are good looking.

At the bargain price this game is, it is sure recommendation.

5 Stars played many times.
have beat it and deleted my saved settings, and played to beat it again and again.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars awesome game
this is a very fun game. if you go to options and do cheat codes and enter TOOLAZY it is much more fun with everything unlocked.

5 Stars Buy while you can
I bought this game for my 6 year old son because he loves riding motorcycles and four wheelers, There was a little problem finding it because local retailers no longer carry it and Hastings couldn’t even order it, The game is very graphical and exciting to play mainly because of endless unlockable features such as more maps, equipment and even more things to drive. I recommend this for any age person the enjoys dirt bikes and ATVs.

5 Stars psp game
I bought this for my nephew for his 8th birthday and he loves it. Thank you for getting it to me so fast.

4 Stars This game is good, I have it. I give it an 8/10
This game is fun both in single player and multiplayer. The only problem with it is the LONG LOADING TIMES OF DEATH.

5 Stars MX vs ATV On the Edge
MX vs ATV On the Edge is an awsome game. The game takes forever to load but it is worth the wait. The graphics are great. There’s a store to buy vehicles & gear for great customizing. You can also check your profile to see your game completion and unlocks percentage. What you can play is Single Player, Ghost Racing, Free Ride, Practice, High Score Challenge, Follow the Leader & Big Air Challenge. In Single Player, you can choose to race the Supercross, Nationals, Short Track, Open Class, Hill Climbs & Supermoto. You can compete in freestyle events & accept challenges. In Ghost Racing, you can try to improve lap times by racing againist your best lap. Its available in Supercross, Nationals, Short Tracks, Open Class & Supermoto. In Free Ride, there are no restrictions in the environment and start zones are available to start any race in that environment. In practice, the environment is completely open butyou start within the event type chosen. In High Score Challenge, its a freestyle stunt competition where you try to have the highest stunt score by the end of the time limit. In Combo Challenge, its about the same as High Score Challenge except two stunts equal one combo. In Follow the Leader, you and Al try to complete a list of stunt combos before the time runs out. The winner is determined by Who completes the list first or who has the most stunts completed. In Big Air Challenge, you find the best hills in the course and try to have the biggest air time and the best stunt score when the time runs out. You can also play multiplayer. Rainbow Studios & THQ made an awsome game.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars good street racing
I’m an older gamer and I started off with PSP racing games with the excellent Wipeout titles. With Test Drive Unlimited I am now enjoying racing streets with cars as opposed to space ships. The game is pretty much straight forward. The motion physics, mechanical engineering, characteristics of cars, and environment are simulated fairly well. Racing for credits to buy cars, property, and etc, beating the clock, and mastering your driving skills is quite fulfilling.

My only criticism are the (seemingly lack of) artificial intelligence of other bystander cars, hawaii 5-0, and competitive nature of your opponents. Sometimes I feel the computer is cheating with improbable actions and conflicts that often come out of the blue. And there are just way too many police cars on this tiny island. And the car engines almost all sound the same.

anyways I am quite happy now with my virtual Ascari, Viper, modded Mustang GT, Shelby’s, Mercedes SLK, Alfa Romeos, and my two (quantity), million dollar waterfront homes. lol

5 Stars Test Drive Unlimited Review
I purchased this game for my 13 year old grandson. He enjoys playing this game.

4 Stars Having fun like a kid again.
Honestly I have not really played video games since I was a teenager. My 20 year old Daughter got me a PSP and a couple of games last Christmas. This was one of them, and I’m am enjoying the heck out of it. It’s hard to put it down and the cars all really do handle differently. Its cool how more and more challenges open up to you as you progress throughout the game. Who would have thought a 45 year old guy would still get a kick from a game like this.

5 Stars Really fun and Addictive
This is probably the best racing game on the psp. I own almost all the racing games on the psp and I really couldn’t enjoy most of them becouse the cars are hard to control on a handheld. Didn’t have a problem with this game. Lots of cars, tons of races and playing online is a blast. liked it so much that I bought the PC version. Normally I beat a game and thats it, I’m done. But the online racing just keeps me playing.

5 Stars worth the money
i picked up this game the other day and i am impressed with it. it is alot of fun and to start u dont get a pos car as the first car you drive. its very entertaining. graphics are excellent, the gps is awesome and you can choose between 3 difficulty setting for each race.
